香港—廈門兩地大學生夏令營

為推動內地與香港高校間的交流，加強彼此間的友好往來與聯繫，增進香港師生對祖國的瞭解，廈門大學擬於2008年5月舉辦香港—廈門兩地大學生夏令營，邀請香港高校師生參加，為期六天，名額約80人。廈門大學負責食宿及遊覽等費用，參加的學生則承擔其本人往返香港與廈門的旅費 (約港幣 $1000 元)。

活動時間：2008年5月– 6月之間，具體日期則待與香港高校溝通後決定（為期6天）

活動規模：80人（其中香港學生50人，廈門大學學生30人）

擬邀請學校：香港大學（16人）、香港科技大學（8人）、香港中文大學（8人）、香港浸會大學（10人）、香港理工大學（8人）。

預期效果：通過形式多樣的活動項目，包括專題講座、研討會、師生聯歡會、社會及工廠實地考察、遊覽風景名勝等，感受廈門悠久的閩南文化，增進兩地學生的交流與溝通，瞭解大陸改革開放以來社會和經濟發展取得的成就，讓香港年輕一代對大陸有進一步的瞭解。

Xiamen / Hong Kong Exchange Camp

A “Xiamen/Hong Kong Exchange Camp” will be organized by the Xiamen University in May 2008 as a means to promote exchanges between institutions of higher learning in Hong Kong and Xiamen, to strengthen their ties and to enable teachers and students in Hong Kong to gain a proper understanding of the Mainland.  Teachers and students at tertiary institutions in Hong Kong are invited to take part in this programme.  The event will run for 6 days and the expected number of participants is around 80.  Accommodation charges and other expenses will be covered.  Participants will only have to pay the return airfare of around HK $ 1,000.

Period of Activity:          May – June, 2008 (Schedule to be Confirmed)
