Awards and Honours

Professor Kenneth P. H. Ho, an Honorary Professor in the School of Chinese and a scholar of high stature in classical Chinese literature, has been awarded the prestigious title of "Honorary Academician" by the Hong Kong Institute of Education. With a broad range of research interests and a strong commitment to scholarly pursuits, Professor Ho has remained academically active after his retirement from the School.

Dr. Y. F. Yeung, Head of the School of Chinese, has won the "Outstanding Supervisor Award" by virtue of his signal contributions to nurturing a young generation of researchers of high calibre and great promise. The attached newspaper article aptly summarizes his teaching philosophy, and the photographs presented here vividly capture the memorable moments of the award presentation ceremony. Visual images of this event and media reports on the accomplishments of all the "Excellence in Teaching and Research" awardees can be found at http://www.hku.hk/award .
