Introduction

Dr. Tsz-kit Yim (PhD in East Asian studies, Princeton) is currently the RGC Junior Research Fellow in the School of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong. His research fields include global translations and adaptations of classic Chinese novels, modern Chinese and contemporary East Asian film and media, as well as new theoretical debates on affect theory and formalism, ecology and infrastructure, gender and genre, as well as questions of critique and postcritique. Currently, he is working on his first monograph titled Classic Chinese Novels and Global Media Climate: Ecological Form, Affective World-Making and Infrastructural Network.

 

嚴子傑  普林斯頓大學東亞研究博士,現為香港大學中文學院「研資局新晉學者」。主要研究興趣為:中國古典小說的全球翻譯及改編,及現當代華語及東亞電影媒體,同時關注當下人文學科的各種理論轉向:情動理論與形式主義、生態與基礎設施、性別與文類,及批判理論與後批判理論等議題。目前,他正在撰寫首本著作:《中國古典小說與全球媒界氣候:生態形式、情動創世及基礎建設》(暫名)。
