時光飛逝，「粵語流行曲」概念今面世71年。幾十年間粵語流行曲創立無數里程碑，形成非凡景象。我們不禁思考粵語流行曲未來的發展方向，亦盼香港樂壇能繼續邁向更好的世代；將其實踐，當中世代溝通及傳承至關重要。過去成就現在，現在成就未來。我們思考未來時宜溫故知新，通過深觀及理解過去，幫助我們堅實地紮根當下，讓粵語流行曲中蘊含的珍貴情意及精神得以代代傳承，邁向未來。前事不忘，後事之師。
是次研討會由香港大學香港研究課程及流行經典專頁「留情」創辦人留情合作，邀請各專家學者及年輕代表以「傳承」為切入點，共同探索粵語流行曲的發展及未來，望能啟發大眾深入思考當中關係及重要性。
關於香港大學香港研究課程 @hkgshku ：
香港大學香港研究課程為香港大學中文學院轄下課程，是全球首個全面聚焦香港的本科課程。課程採用問題導向式教學方法，從跨科際角度探討香港社會、文化、創意產業、經濟、政治、歷史及環境等範疇，讓學生思考香港演變下的核心議題。畢業生就業範疇多元，涉獵公私營不同行業。
關於留情 @lau4cing4 ：
留情（1999年生於香港），文化藝術工作者，畢業於倫敦中央聖馬丁設計及藝術學院藝術系。2017年開設專頁「留情」望向年輕一代傳承香港流行文化歷史。曾於台灣以藝術家及策展人身分策劃香港流行經典相關展覽《Dearest Anita,》(2018)、《Leslie’s Week》(2019)、《梅艷芳親密愛人三十年》(2020)，並舉辦講座。著有《歌影留情》(2020)。2022年於香港主辦及策劃展覽《今夜真暖：樂壇經典舊物展》，與多個單位合作傳承及推廣香港流行文化經典。目前於香港及倫敦工作。

Songs of the Future: Cantopop Heritage Conference
This year marks the 71th anniversary after the concept ‘Cantopop’ was first packaged in albums. Cantopop holds a special place in Hong Kong people’s hearts and is a significant site of cultural production through the past decades. Organised by the HKU Hong Kong Studies Department and Lau Cing (@lau4cing4) , Songs of the Future: Cantopop Heritage Conference gathers Cantopop fans across generations and professions to examine and share the passion of the songs and stars that resonates with their hearts. Together they seek ways to make the eternal recurrence of these great voices possible and the creative traditions sustainable.

Hong Kong Studies (@hkgshku) is an interdisciplinary programme aimed at giving students a broad-based education on Hong Kong—its society, culture, creative industries, economy, politics, history and environment. The programme combines the perspectives and curricular strengths of a variety of disciplines, including literature, art history, history, sociology, politics, economics, journalism and communications.
Lau Cing:
Lau Cing (b.1999 in Hong Kong), founder of Hong Kong Popular Culture Classics page ‘Lau Cing’ (@lau4cing4). She received her BA in Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins, London, and has been curating and participating in exhibitions since 2017 to promote the legacies of Hong Kong popular culture classics to her peers. She curated and participated as an artist and speaker in ‘Dearest Anita,’(2018), ‘Leslie’s Week’(2019) and ‘Anita Mui: Intimate Lover’(2020) in Taiwan. She is the author of the book ‘Dear 80’s’(2020). She recently organised and curated her first major exhibition ‘Midnight Rendezvous: A Conversation with Cantopop Classics’ (2022) in Hong Kong. She works between London and Hong Kong in the arts and culture field.
