Abstract:
Abstract:
Modernity consumer culture in China originated in Shanghai in the 1920s. Since then, the female body has always been the mainstream positive symbol to induce consumption, while the male body, as an inducing symbol, is a peripheral anomaly. In the 1970s, Shaw Brothers Limited launched a new era of colorful martial arts films, producing and selling a large number of martial arts films, which changed the extremely feminine aesthetics of its Huangmei tune films. It was the starting point for the reversal of male body aesthetics and consumption towards positive aspects, triggering a series of cultural reactions such as the rise of male stars, the reversal of aesthetic gender tendencies, and the prosperity consumption of male sexual attraction.
