Certificate in Chinese Language – Application for Admission in Academic Year 2022-23
The Chinese Language Centre is now inviting applications for admission to the Certificate in Chinese Language courses, in Cantonese or Putonghua stream, for those whose mother tongue is not Chinese. Classes are taught by experienced teachers, who are native speakers of Chinese. The curriculum provides balanced training in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Chinese.
Programme Outcome:
Upon completion of the programme, students should be able to:
- communicate fluently with native Chinese
- read Chinese newspapers and magazines
- recognize about 2000 Chinese characters
- give a short speech in Chinese
- write essays of about 350-500 Chinese characters in various topics
