Abstract:
本報告旨在通過將“跨文化粉絲文化”一詞之重點從智慧財產權 (IP) 的國際傳播轉移至推動這一文化交流的粉絲群體,重新定義“跨文化粉絲文化”這一概念。換言之,報告將以粉絲在製作及傳播翻譯混剪中的重要角色為例,強調跨文化粉絲不再是智慧財產權傳播的被動結果。儘管這類粉絲創意實踐因缺乏所謂“忠實性”而在傳統翻譯研究中較少受到關注,報告將探討其在重新解讀、改編,及轉化原作過程中的創造性與主觀性。本報告在“翻譯粉絲文化”概念的基礎上進一步拓展,探討粉絲譯者如何在融合文化背景下的媒體平臺上積極扮演內容創作者一角,進而促進跨文化交流及文化認知。通過這一跨學科研究——包括視聽翻譯研究、混剪研究及粉絲文化研究,本研究填補了當前文獻的重要空白,並為理解中國粉絲文化在不斷發展的社交媒體平臺上的實踐提供了重要參考。
This talk redefines the concept of ‘transcultural fandom’ by shifting the focus from the global spread of intellectual properties (IPs) to the active, creative fans who drive this cultural exchange. Rather than viewing transcultural fandom as the passive outcome of an IP’s global reach, this study foregrounds the role of fans in producing and distributing interpretative remixes. These fan practices, which are often dismissed in traditional translation studies for their lack of ‘fidelity’, are central to this study, which recognises their creativity and subjectivity in reinterpretation, adaptation and transformation. Building on the concept of ‘translational fandom’, this study expands it to explore how fan-translators actively negotiate their roles as content creators on media platforms, particularly in convergence culture, to foster transcultural exchanges and enhance cultural literacy. In doing so, it addresses significant gaps in the current literature by integrating multiple disciplines, such as audiovisual translation studies, remix studies and fandom studies, and offers a nuanced understanding of fan practices on ever-evolving social media platforms, especially within the context of Chinese fan cultures, which is often overlooked in mainstream academic discourse.
