Abstract:

Lu Xun and World Literature, edited by Ma Xiaolu and Carlos Rojas and recently published by Hong Kong University Press, showcases the collective efforts of young scholars in examining Lu Xun’s works through the lens of world literature and the processes of literary worlding. In this talk, the editors and some of the contributors will further elaborate on their essays from the volume and explore potential methodologies for studying Lu Xun in relation to world literature—ranging from transcultural studies to book history.
