宋家怡女士在2003年以一級榮譽文學學士(主修英語及語言學)畢業於香港大學，並於2008年同校取得語言學哲學碩士學位。畢業後，她曾在香港大學語言學系及香港城市大學的中文、翻譯及語言學系擔任研究助理，進行有關粵語的研究。她自2012年起加入香港大學中文學院漢語中心任教對外粵語。

Ms Rosa K.Y. Sung graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Linguistics (First Class Honours) in 2003. She received a Master of Philosophy degree in Linguistics from the same university in 2008. After graduation, she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Hong Kong and in the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics at the City University of Hong Kong, where she conducted research on Cantonese. Rosa joined the Chinese Language Centre, School of Chinese, at the University of Hong Kong as an instructor of Cantonese as a foreign language in 2012.
